It was my pleasure to interview Lynn, of Lynn Marie Interior Designs about this warn and eclectic room she designed. Please read our interview below and share your thoughts on this amazing bed that is functional and stylish:

LonsDesigns: This family room is warm and eclectic, can you talk about the style you chose here?

Lynn:  From the kitchen, engineered hardwood floors step down to slate tile in the unpartitioned family area.  Soft woven solids and print fabrics of natural colors, slate inlaid lamps, and a custom made component cabinet are enhanced by a copper bangle accent wall creating a warm inviting atmosphere, extending the entertainment possibilities realized from the kitchen’s design.  A fireplace crowned by a flat screen television and surrounded by a faux finished accent wall provides an elegant boundary before turning the room outside to the pool deck and summer kitchen.”

LonsDesignsWhat made you decide to paint the accent wall that’s facing the outdoors that lovely color?.

LynnThis family room area always floods during hurricanes, so a slate floor was used to prevent damage, from the step up Kitchen hardwood floor area. The copper tones from the slate invited the color “Copper Bangle” # 227-6 (An PPG PAINT) to be used as an accent wall, bring together the natural color tones and accented the faux finish fireplace wall. The use of all the textures helped create the warm inviting atmosphere. “

LonsDesigns: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?

My New Web site is in the process of being developed by the staff of Christopher Bowden Photography.  I love his interior photography !!   Today I started a renovation project in “The Cove” part of Panama City, FL, for a retiring Admiral from Connecticut.   This renovation project with be in the planning phase until last of this year with Construction staring January 2012 and competition approx July 2013. The scope of design will be to bring his love of the ocean and ships into a 1970’s style home.”
